December 2010

Wow, Sorry for the absence!
Okay catch up time....!

Zoe :
Zoe is now retired from competitive agility, she is now enjoying anysize and picking up lots of clear rounds.
Her last full height show was WTCI Irelands agility show, she won her jumping class beating her son, what a way to finish your career Zoe !

TJ:
TJ is also retired from competitive agility, he has hip dysplacia, and although never seemed to be in pain always struggled to pick his back legs up when jumping, so rather than get frustrated with him, decided we would enjoy anysize more! He has picked up 2 clear rounds in 2010 :)

Skye:
Skye has had a very successful year, she is now grade 6 after just over a year of competing, she started at grade 1 :)
We qualified for the starters final at the Agility club, back in july, she came 2nd, she was a little star, just lost 2 seconds waiting for seesaw to tip!
Also qualified 2nd for the KC festival novice final in august, unfortunately we ran in the middle of a thunderstorm and the collapsable tunnel was soaking so she refused it :( so proud of her to get there though, she is amazing!
She picked up countless wins and places over 2010, her win into grade 6 was one of her best agility runs, perfect end to the season back in september!
We are looking forward to 2011, hoping to reach grade 7 and we would love to run at crufts and olympia one day ;) !

Mist:
Mist has had a bad year, she tore her ligament in her leg, so her training was put on hold and she spent 2 months in cage rest, shes had a tough year, but is now back to full height training! She will hopefully come out spring 2011, she is looking promising ;)

Skye with her Achievements for KC and DIN!!!!

Summer Agility / Prestbury Park

First we travelled to Ely in Cambs, what a journey! took us best part of 3 1/2 hours!!!
It was a great show as we met up with Grahams brother Simon, and also great because me Skye won into grade 3 in her first G2 agility class!

Skye
Agility G1-4 1st!
Jumping 1-3 3rd
Jumping 1-2 2nd

Zoe and TJ were having fun but unfortunatly no clears!! TJ managed his weaves first time which is amazing for him, sooo chuffed!!!

Prestbury Park
Our last camping show of 2009 (boo hoo)

Thank god its coming up to the winter! training needed!
Skye has found a new lease of confidence which is wonderful because she is getting faster but she is also getting cheeky! Her weaves were dodgy, she came out of the weaves twice when i weaved her on the right for 12 weaves, something we need to work on!

She managed a 6th in a combined 1-4 jumping, her turns were wide, too wide! something else to work on :)

TJ and Zoe again had fun but no clears!

KC Festival / Dogs In Need

Sorry for the delay in the update!!!
Between Ag Club and KC Festival we had 2 weeks off which was lovely, sometimes during the summer months you can find yourself at shows every weekend!

So to the action!

KC Festival

Unfortunatly no places or clears for TJ and Zoe, Some very good runs from both dogs but not quite good enough!

Skye was a little angel, her results as follows:
Grade 1 Jumping 1st (14th Aug)
Grade 1 jumping 2nd (15th)
Grade 1 Jumping 1st (16th)

She was working very well, we have alot of work to do getting her to wrap round wings!

Dogs In Need

Hot Hot Hot!

It was very hot and humid in sunny ipswich!
Skye didnt deal with the heat at all well, so we brought her a towel coat to keep her cool!
Despite the heat she managed to do very well, but definatly wasnt at her best!

18th Grade 1/2 Jumping 5th
Grade 1/2 Agility 2nd

19th Grade 1/2 Jumping 1st

20th Skye Qualified 2nd for the DINAS Classic Final!!! She was a little star but unfortunatly we picked up 5R on the seesaw, i got in the wrong position and put her on it at the wrong angle, ooops! we live and learn, she was amazing, couldn't be prouder!

21st Agility Club Starters Agility 3rd

22nd 1/2 Agility 1st

23rd 1/2 Jumping 2nd

TJ was very very close to a clear round, he got to 3 from home then saw the tunnel and off he went!! He is coming on so well though!

Zoe had a great week too, she got a clear in grade 7 agility unfortunatly it was unplaced but she and graham worked so well!

Videos to follow!

Wow what a great weekend!

Skye:

Saturday: Small Agility 1-2 - 1st!!!!

She was a little star, pretty much perfect although still got lots of work to do on a frame and dogwalk!
Her jumping class i mucked up compleatley! Ooops!

Sunday: Small Agility 1-2 - 2nd!!!!!

Very iffy contact on a frame, work needed!! Perfect seesaw though! Very pleased!

After going to say hi to the judge her jumping class was good! apart from me pushing her in wrong end of the tunnel!

Some pics of skye and her trophies!

TJ & Zoe only had one run each day, no clears but TJ working well!! Zoe having a senior weekend ;)!!

Chipping Norton 19th July 09

It was a very exciting weekend, we decided to try out out new (old) caravan out! What luxury compared to our tent. Bring on our next camping at the KC Agility Festival!

The weather was pretty minging this weekend, but the dogs worked well! Unfortunately no video today as it was too wet to get video camera out.

Skye:

Small 1-7 Jumping - places to 10th, we ended up 12th! 2 secs off winner, i completely mucked up the ending and wasted god knows how long standing watching her go through a tunnel! doh! Still lovely round!
Small 1-7 Graded Jumping - 1st! I was really pushing her and getting her to go on to obstacles without me baby-ing her so much, she was flying, very pleased!

TJ:

Some good bits! his waits are pretty good, his jumping is getting there, i pushed him down a line of 4 jumps, really ran with him, and he didn't have any down, still having major issues with weaves, its like he is so used to getting it wrong now, he always thinks it is correct to get them right 2nd try.

Zoe:

Cracking runs from the old girl! Both classes she had 5 faults, one pole! She is working so well at the moment, she is jumping so well and really enjoying herself which is the main thing!

Watford & Tuffley July 09

Watford, was a great show for me and Skye!
It was her first KC win. She was such a good girl it was a lovely course.
Still need to work on the little twiddles and wide turns! She also got a 4th in a 1-3 jumping, buses could have turned tighter than her, all my fault though, i said out , she went OUT! then screamed no IN IN IN , hee hee.

TJ was well TJ, he cant seem to pick his feet up! Grrr! Have now brought DAQ ladder set to hopefully get him to realise his back legs are connected to him!

Tuffley:

Due to Grahams work outing we only managed one day at Tuffley

Skye got a 5th in 1-4 jumping, wide turns again!! I compleatly mucked up her other one, ooops - tried to be way too clever - just ask Graham!

TJ was very good, again lovely waits just still having poles! bloomin back legs! and weaves, just cant seem to crack them!

Zoe had another stunning run, she is like a fine wine, def getting better with age!
